Undergrad & Dental School
Dr. Leon Su was born in Taiwan and grew up in Orange County, California. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and had a five-year career as a software and hardware engineer.
Dr. Su received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University. He graduated at the top of his class, was heavily involved in research, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Intrigued by the field of orthodontics as a merge of engineering, art, and science, Dr. Su specialized in orthodontics at Rutgers University.
He also went beyond the basic requirements to practice and voluntarily went through the rigorous process to become a Board-Certified Orthodontist, a status only one out of three orthodontists have achieved in the US.

Dr. Su is known for his connection with the communities he serves. From visiting and speaking at local schools to attending his patients’ school plays to creating an office TikTok channel, he makes sure Su Smiles Orthodontics stays in touch with the surrounding areas.
After Clinic Hours
Dr. Su and his wife Yvonne are inseparable in their leisure time. They enjoy visiting museums, hiking, and discovering good food. Dr. Su also likes snowboarding, playing basketball, volleyball and tennis.
Dr. and Mrs. Su have two children, a daughter named Adeline and a son named Benjamin. Both are tremendously treasured and loved.
Dr. Su is so grateful to his wife, Yvonne, who put a pause on her career as an interior designer and graciously assumed the role of a stay home mom to provide the best care for Adeline and Benjamin.
